Trump says his super PAC will now pay for controversial taxpayer-funded promo ads

A White House official wouldn't say whether Trump will reimburse the government.
President Donald Trump said Monday night that he will no longer use taxpayer funds to pay for a multimillion-dollar pro-Trump ad blitz ahead of the midterm elections, saying his super PAC will now pay for them.
But he appears to have no plans to reimburse the federal government for funds already used on the ads, a White House official said Tuesday.
