A woman who accused “looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular of raping her at his family’s Cape Cod home last May has refiled her civil lawsuit and dropped the sexual assault allegations against him, a move her lawyer said was intended to avoid interfering with a pending Massachusetts criminal case in connection with the encounter.

Pope Leo XIV underwent a successful surgery Tuesday to remove a lung nodule, according to the Vatican. "The procedure was completed successfully, within the expected timeframe and as planned, and the Holy Father has returned to his room," the Holy See Press Office said. The office promised further information at a later time. The 71-year-old Leo had walked into Rome's Gemelli hospital through the main entrance earlier Tuesday and waved to dozens of well-wishers who had gathered to greet him. The Vatican said the surgery would be performed by a team led by Gemelli's chief thoracic surgeon, Dr. Stefano Margaritora.

Jane Doe's lawyer, Thomas Giuffra, told CBS News her messages reflected "classic symptoms of delayed recognition," calling it "a textbook response to sexual assault."
President Donald Trump again attacked Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar on Tuesday, calling her a "terrible person" a day after federal authorities searched her Washington, D.C.-area residence. The investigation into Omar -- a sitting member of Congress who is up for reelection in just three weeks -- relates to her immigration paperwork, sources told ABC News. Omar, who was first elected to the House in 2018, is the first Somali American in Congress. Born in Somalia, Omar became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2000.
Washington — A federal judge on Tuesday barred the Trump administration from removing trees at East Potomac Golf Links in Washington, D.C., for another two weeks after hundreds of trees were felled at the historic public course over the weekend. Reyes said the D.C. Preservation League and golfers will likely be harmed without relief. The plaintiffs are challenging President Trump's planned overhaul of East Potomac.
