A member of the U.S. Air Force was injured and later died after he fell while rappelling from the ceiling of the Alamodome stadium in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday, ahead of a University of Texas at San Antonio football game. The incident took place during a pregame ceremony, before the official kickoff of UTSA's annual Salute to Armed Forces and Veterans game against Navy, CBS affiliate KENS reported. The service member landed near the middle of the field after falling, a KENS photographer said.
NPR health and science correspondent and "Sunday Morning" contributor Allison Aubrey is out with a new book. "Your Turn" is what she calls it – and here she is to explain what she means... If you're asking what's next in life, you're not alone. For the millions of Gen Xers like me, we've been in the trenches for decades with work and parenting. She said her tour for "Lux" has been more demanding than any she has done – performing en pointe , for instance, and singing in Japanese, Ukrainian, Catalan and Arabic. She wrote lyrics in 14 languages. "If you find 14 languages in this album, it's not from a place of exhibition, but a search for communion," she said.

Between bites, we asked visitors to assess the state of their wallets three weeks before Election Day. "I would say most are struggling, if I'm being honest," one woman said. Another man offered, "I don't feel great about the economy right now." Jeffrey Robinson, a high school principal, put it succinctly: "It sucks," he said. "We have parents that carpool that are finding it hard to keep gas in the car."
