VANDALIA, Ohio — President Donald Trump rallied Saturday for Republicans in Ohio’s competitive races for Senate and governor, predicting that the party will defy expectations in a choppy midterm election climate.

“I think we’re going to have a big surprise, because they don’t know what’s happening,” Trump said while speaking onstage inside a high school gymnasium near Dayton.

“Just get out and vote,” Trump added. “If you do that, we’re going to win, and we’re going to win big. And we’re going to shove it up their ass.”

Ken Paxton’s estranged wife urges voters to back his Senate bid, yet avoids mentioning him by name

The estranged wife of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton urged voters to stand behind the entire Republican midterm ticket in an ad released Saturday, though she neglected to name Paxton directly. Texas state Sen. 12-year-old girl killed in Baltimore shooting sparked by apparent parking dispute

A 12-year-old girl was killed and three others were injured when gunfire erupted amid an apparent dispute over parking at a Baltimore park Saturday, officials said. Police Commissioner Richard Worley said two gunmen were being sought, and two different gun cartridges were found at the scene after the shooting near Leon Day Park. “What we know is that there was some type of argument between two cowards, and of course they both opened fire on each other,” the commissioner said at a Saturday night news conference. “In the crossfire, a 12-year-old little girl, who was probably down there watching football, was shot and killed.”
