"It was a 45-minute wait for my turn but the whole experience of choosing your flavours and customising it with different toppings was a big part of the appeal for me," the 19-year-old student says.

Froyo was a huge trend in the UK in the late 2000s and early 2010s and was most popular in London.

Braid-creator Jonathan Blow on making the 'biggest puzzle game ever'

For ten years, Jonathan Blow has been working with a small team on what he believes is "the biggest puzzle game ever made". The American developer is renowned as one of the fathers of the modern indie game movement, creating the genre-defining puzzle-platformer Braid in 2008. Now, a decade on from his last project, The Witness, The Order of the Sinking Star is due to be released on Thursday - a game with roughly 1,500 puzzles that he estimates could take around 500 hours to complete.

UK risks being 'uninvestable' if new oil and gas fields not approved, warns Equinor

Oil giant Equinor has warned it may shun further investments in the UK if new oil and gas fields at Rosebank and Jackdaw are not approved. "The question will be: is the UK investable in the future? I hope it will not come to that," said Anders Opedal, boss of the Norwegian state oil company which is part owner of the sites. He told the BBC the company would "have to take a hard view about it" if a decision was made to reject new drilling.

S&P 500 and Nasdaq surge to record highs after AI chipmaker rally

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed at a record high after a rally around AI chipmakers and a dip in US treasury yields. At market’s close, the S&P 500 was up 0.58%, topping 7,800 for the first time in its history. The tech-heavy Nasdaq index rose 0.45%, while the Dow, which is slightly down from its record high in August, climbed 0.49%. Investors appeared optimistic after recent developments for chipmakers including Marvell Technology, Advanced Micro Devices and Broadcom that showed growth in the markets for the chips used to power AI.
